Evening desert safari Dubai with a Bedouin BBQ dinner

Our classic evening desert safari Dubai night out: we collect you in the afternoon, a licensed driver takes a shared Land Cruiser over the dunes for 25-30 minutes, and the evening ends at a desert camp with a camel ride, henna, sunset, a BBQ buffet and belly dance, fire and Tanura shows.

Overview

This is the full desert evening at the lower of our two shared evening prices. Your AED 240 per person fare starts with an afternoon collection in a shared Land Cruiser. A licensed driver crosses the red dunes, then drops you at a Bedouin-style camp. There you are greeted with Arabic tea and coffee, ride a camel, have henna painted if you like, watch the sun set and sit down to a buffet dinner before the shows begin.

The programme matches our AED 375 evening package in every way except one: there is no quad bike ride. If you are happy to let the driver do all the driving, this is the better-value way to enjoy the same camp, the same food and the same three performances. If you want half an hour on a quad as well, book the AED 375 evening package with a quad session instead.

Couples, groups of friends and families with children all book this evening desert safari Dubai trip. Toddlers aged 2 or 3 come free, and kids between 5 and 11 travel at a lower child price that we confirm with you when you book. You will be home again at about half past nine.

Questions, answered

Evening Desert Safari + Bedouin BBQ Dinner Experience: questions

What is included in the AED 240 evening safari?

This evening desert safari Dubai fare covers the return transfer in a shared Land Cruiser, 25-30 minutes of dune bashing, a camp welcome with Arabic tea, coffee, sweets and fruit, a camel ride, henna, unlimited soft drinks, the international BBQ buffet and the belly dance, fire and Tanura shows. Alcohol, sheesha and tips are extra.

Is a quad bike ride part of this package?

No. This package has no quad bike. If you want to ride one, choose the AED 375 package instead, which adds half an hour on an ATV and runs the same camp programme. Apart from the quad session, the two evenings are the same, including the dinner and shows.

Can children join, and what do they pay?

Yes, guests from age 2 are welcome. Toddlers aged 2 to 3 join free, children from 5 to 11 pay a lower child price, and anyone 12 or older pays the adult fare of AED 240. We confirm the child price when you book, so please give us each child's age.

What time is pickup for the evening safari?

From October to March we collect you between 2:45 and 3:30 PM, and from April to September between 3:45 and 4:30 PM. Drop-off is around 9:30-9:45 PM all year. Your exact pickup time arrives on WhatsApp the afternoon before your trip.

Can I order alcohol at the desert camp?

Alcohol is not part of the fare, but the camp sells it, along with sheesha, if you want either. Non-alcoholic drinks are unlimited and already paid for. If you plan to buy anything at the camp, bring a way to pay for it.

What should I wear for the evening in the desert?

Choose light, comfortable clothes and closed-toe shoes. Sunglasses and a hat or scarf help during the dune drive, when sand can blow into the car. Pack an extra layer for after dark, because the desert cools quickly once the sun has set, and bring a charged phone for the shows.
