About us

About Dune Buggy Dubai

Dune Buggy Dubai is a licensed desert adventure operator. We run guided dune buggy and quad sessions on the red dunes at Al Badayer, and also offer desert safaris, sunrise balloon trips, an escorted KTM ride and camel treks, all with the safety gear included and booking open around the clock.

What we do, in one paragraph

Our work is simple to describe: we take visitors into the desert and bring them back with a good story. Most guests come for a self-drive dune buggy session, where an adult drives one of our Polaris RZR or Can-Am buggies and follows a guide over the sand. Others prefer a quad bike, an evening at a desert camp, a balloon flight at dawn, an escorted ride on a dirt bike or a slow walk on a camel.

Six kinds of trip sit under one roof, and the same team handles the briefing, the equipment and the ride itself. That means one booking channel, one WhatsApp number and one set of people who know the details of your day.

Where the rides take place

We hold all buggy and quad sessions on the red dunes at Al Badayer, out past the city's south-eastern edge. The drive takes about 45 to 60 minutes from Downtown, and your written confirmation contains a map pin for the meeting point, with parking there if you come by car.

Our booking office sits on the 4th floor of Lake Central Tower, Marasi Drive, Business Bay, and is a place to ask questions and arrange bookings, not a starting point: no ride begins at the office, so please head straight to the desert or wait for your pickup.

Machines we look after

We run Polaris RZR 1000cc buggies in two and four-seat versions and the turbocharged Can-Am Maverick X3. All of them come with roll cages, harnesses and automatic gearboxes, so nobody has to master a clutch. The quads range from the compact COBRA for younger riders to the large Yamaha Grizzly, and the KTM 450cc dirt bike is there for people who already ride.

Every buggy is checked and serviced before each tour. Our crew also checks harnesses and helmets before any engine starts, which is a small routine that matters on a hot day in soft sand.

How we keep rides safe

Every session opens with a safety briefing that covers the controls, hand signals and the route, and every rider gets a helmet and goggles at no extra cost. On quads we add gloves, and on the dirt bike riders wear a full-face helmet, body armour and gloves.

Out on the sand, the guide leads the convoy and sets a speed that suits the least experienced driver in the group. The 4x4s on our safaris are driven by desert-safari-licensed professionals only, and guests never take the wheel for dune bashing.

Some rules stay firm. Only adults drive buggies and full-size quads, younger teens ride as passengers, drivers bring photo ID, and everyone signs a standard liability form at check-in. Closed-toe shoes are required for every seat.

How booking works with us

You can book online at any hour. Choose a package, open our secure booking site, pick your date and pay in AED by card. Your advance payment confirms the slot, and a written confirmation with the date, time and meeting details follows by email. Prefer to talk first? Message us on WhatsApp and we will help you choose.

Prices are shown before you pay. Buggies are priced per vehicle for 30 minutes, quads per rider, safaris and balloon flights per person, and the private evening safari per car. Hotel pickup is part of every safari and balloon package; for buggies, quads, the dirt bike and camel rides it can be added for an extra charge. Our cancellation policy explains what happens if your plans change.

Questions, answered

Common questions

Is Dune Buggy Dubai a licensed operator?

Yes. We operate as a licensed desert tour company in Dubai. Every ride starts with a safety briefing, helmets and goggles are included in the price, and on our safaris the dune bashing is left to drivers holding a desert-safari licence, never to guests.

Can I visit your office before booking?

You can. The booking office is on the 4th floor of Lake Central Tower, Marasi Drive, Business Bay, and it is open for questions and bookings. Keep in mind that no tour starts there: buggy and quad rides begin at Al Badayer, and safari and balloon guests are collected from their accommodation.

Do you offer more than dune buggies?

Yes. Besides the Polaris and Can-Am buggies, we run quad bikes for kids and adults, morning, evening and private desert safaris, three sunrise balloon packages, a KTM 450cc dirt bike and guided camel rides. You can book each one separately, and several can fit into the same Dubai trip on different days.
