Overview

The Can-Am Maverick X3 Dubai drive is the step up from our Polaris RZRs. Compared with the RZR, the X3 brings a turbocharged engine, a wider stance and sharper throttle response. You feel the extra power on every climb, and it stays stable when the guide picks up speed through faster turns.

AED 999 is the price of the whole buggy, and both seats are covered by it. Like every buggy we run, it comes with an instructor leading the convoy, helmets and goggles for you both, fuel, a briefing and mineral water with no cap on how much you drink.

Drivers with some off-road time tend to pick the X3, but beginners are welcome too. Because it is the fastest buggy in our line-up, the briefing goes into extra detail on throttle control and braking before you set off, and the guide still sets a pace the group can manage.

Sessions of 60 or 120 minutes are also possible on the X3 if half an hour feels short; ask us on WhatsApp for those rates. The full line-up sits on our dune buggy rental hub.

What happens on the day

  1. 10–15 min

    Extended briefing

    Since this is our quickest buggy, the instructor spends longer on how the turbo delivers power, how to feather the accelerator and how to brake on sand, then covers hand signals and convoy order.

  2. Strap in

    We size both helmets and goggles, then adjust and check the harnesses in the two-seat cockpit before the engine fires up.

  3. 30 min

    Turbo run through the dunes

    Follow the guide over the red sand and feel the extra shove on every climb and the planted, steady feel when the convoy speeds up through wide bends.

  4. Dust settles, photos start

    Park the X3 on a crest for pictures while the sand drifts down, then return the kit and grab a bottle of water.

Good to know

  • The ride stays on private desert terrain, so you need no driving licence, but the driver must be an adult.
  • If you are pregnant, recovering from surgery or have a bad back or neck, choose a different activity.
  • Sunset sessions fill up first, particularly on Friday and Saturday, so book those early.
  • Hotel transfers cost extra; most riders drive to the Al Badayer pin sent with their confirmation.

What do I get for AED 999 with the Can-Am X3?

AED 999 pays for the whole Can-Am Maverick X3 for 30 minutes with two people on board. You get a guide leading the route, helmets and goggles for both riders, fuel, the safety briefing and as much mineral water as you want. Hotel pickup is extra, and photos or video by a professional are not included.

Is the X3 harder to drive than a Polaris RZR?

It asks a little more of your right foot. The controls are just as simple, with an automatic gearbox, but the turbo makes the throttle sharper, so smooth inputs matter. That is why the briefing for this buggy spends extra time on accelerating and braking, and the guide still sets the pace for your group.

Why is the Can-Am X3 priced higher than the RZR buggies?

You pay for more machine. A Can-Am Maverick X3 Dubai session puts you in the most powerful buggy we run, with a turbocharged engine and a wider stance that gives harder acceleration and more grip in fast turns. The inclusions are the same as on the RZRs: guide, helmets, goggles, fuel, briefing and water.

Can beginners book the X3, or should they start with the RZR?

Beginners are welcome to book it. If it is your first time on sand, though, the 2 seater RZR has less power to manage and costs less. The X3 is aimed at experienced drivers and anyone chasing more speed.

Does the X3 booking include transport from my hotel?

No, transport is separate. For an extra charge we can collect you from a hotel in JBR, Deira, Downtown, Dubai Marina or Business Bay; mention it on WhatsApp and we will price it. Otherwise, drive or take a taxi to the Al Badayer meeting pin in your booking confirmation.

What safety gear comes with the X3?

On a Can-Am Maverick X3 Dubai ride, both riders get a helmet and goggles, and the X3 has a roll cage and harnesses that our crew checks before the engine starts. Helmets are compulsory for everyone on board. You only need to bring closed-toe shoes and sun protection; everything else is provided as part of the price.
