Single seater quad bike Dubai rides over open dunes

A single seater quad bike Dubai ride takes you beyond the practice fence and onto real dunes at Al Badayer, following your guide in a short convoy. It costs AED 250 per rider for 30 minutes, needs no previous experience, and comes with a helmet, goggles, gloves, fuel and unlimited water.

Overview

This is where quad biking turns into a desert ride. The Single Seater leaves the fenced beginner area behind and heads into open sand, where you follow your guide up slopes, over crests and along the flat runs between them. A single seater quad bike Dubai session lets an adult try the dunes on a machine of their own.

You do not need to have ridden before. The guide explains the controls, leads the convoy and sets a pace that the least confident rider can hold, so couples and groups stay together. With an automatic gearbox you have no clutch to master: you have a throttle, brakes and handlebars, and the briefing shows you how to use them on soft ground.

Each single seater quad bike Dubai ride costs AED 250 per rider for 30 minutes. Included are your guide and fuel, gloves, goggles and a helmet, the briefing, and all the mineral water you can drink. Sessions of 60 or 120 minutes can be arranged too, with those rates quoted on WhatsApp. To see how it compares with the fenced COBRA and the more powerful Yamaha Grizzly, visit our quad biking page.

To book a single seater quad bike Dubai ride, settle the fare online by card in AED before the day. You will then receive an email setting out when to arrive and where, and booking a day or two in advance is usually enough outside the December and January rush.

  1. Before you ride

    Safety briefing

The guide covers throttle control, braking and how a quad behaves on open sand, plus the hand signals used in the convoy.

  2. Gear up

Your helmet, goggles and gloves are fitted to size and checked, so nothing slips once you are moving.

  3. 30 minutes

    Guided ride over the dunes

You ride in line behind your guide across the open desert, with climbs, crests and flat stretches chosen to suit the group.

  4. Photos and wrap-up

Good to know

  • Open-desert quads are for adult riders; for teenagers, message us with their age and size first.
  • Road licences do not apply out here, since the dunes are private land.
  • Allow 45 to 60 minutes to drive out to Al Badayer from Downtown; there is parking when you arrive.
  • Skip the open desert if you are pregnant, have a spinal or neck problem or are healing from surgery.
  • When weather makes the dunes unsafe, we stop the ride from our end; switch to a later date for free or follow our cancellation policy for a refund.

Questions, answered

Single Seater Quad Bike: questions

Single Seater or COBRA: which one should I book?

Book the Single Seater if you are an adult who wants to ride real dunes. It leaves the fence and follows a guide through the open desert, and no experience is required. Choose the COBRA instead for children aged 5 to 11, or if you would feel happier learning the controls inside a fenced practice area first.

Do I ride alone or with a guide?

You ride your own quad, but never alone. Every Single Seater session runs as a guided convoy, with the guide in front choosing the route, reading the sand and setting a pace that suits the slowest rider. Keep the gap the briefing asks for, watch the hand signals, and the guide takes care of the navigation.

Can I ride the Single Seater with no experience at all?

Yes. No previous riding is needed for this quad. The machine is automatic, the safety briefing walks you through throttle, brakes and handling on sand, and the guide adjusts the route to the group. If you feel very nervous, begin inside the fence on the COBRA and move up later.

Who is allowed to ride the Single Seater?

The open-desert quads are for adult riders. Children aged 5 to 11 ride the COBRA in the fenced area instead, and children under five cannot ride. If you have a teenager in the group, send their age and height on WhatsApp before booking and we will tell you honestly which machine suits them.

Can I add hotel pickup to my quad ride?

Yes, for an extra charge. Pickup is not part of the AED 250 price, so ask when you book and we will quote a transfer. Many riders simply head out in a hire car or taxi, following the pin in their confirmation. If you want pickup built in, the evening desert safari that bundles a half-hour ATV ride has it included.
